Today was one of the most incredible parts of the teens’ Israel experience. They went to “Dialogue in the Dark,” an interactive program at the Children’s Museum in Holon, demonstrating the range of the senses beyond vision.
“It was really cool!” said Zack Cardin. “It felt like I was in a completely different world because you could not see and you had to rely on your other senses and other people.”
“It was so dark you couldn’t see your hands in front of your face,” said Max Cardin. “It really made me appreciate what I have.”
The teens just completed their army training, which Ben Schwartz said was “kind of tough but lots of fun.”
Now, they are in Tel Aviv.
The youth all said they are having a phenomenal time. Zack said he likes walking around the cities, seeing what “normal Israelis” do. He especially enjoyed Tiberius and Tzfat.
Max said Shabbat on the Kinneret has been the highlight – it was so beautiful.
Ilana Starr said she’s all about the friends.
“We all bonded really quickly and it’s been a lot of fun being together on the bus,” she said. “You should tell everyone in Baltimore I am having a great time and I’m glad I’m on this trip with these people.”
Said Max: “I’m loving every minute!”
